Cyber Crush

So easily
I could fall in love
with the way
I envision you
outside the confines
of social media platforms
where we met
while wearing our best faces.

So easily
I could imagine us
beyond the scope
of Facebook pictures,
Twitter flirtations,
and all the dances
we do
as strangers in the night.

So easily
I could be let down
by realizing
it’s all just a game
that people play
across the buzzing waves
of internet transmissions.

So easily
I could fall in love
with the idea
that this time
it’s more than just
mysterious infatuation…
